Under cover hike

So secret is the location for the 2008 Sloe harvest (11.10.08, absentees 1)that even the local horses have to be blindfolded.

Members pledged absolute adherance to an embargo on allowing any information that could allow identification of the spot.

Instructions were hidden at intervals in hedgerows to guide the group into the correct field near Lympsham or was it Clevedon?

In the event the harvest 'somewhere in Somerset' was not quite as bumper as predicted. However, 56 sloes were collected as well as a larger number of blackberries.

When nature's bounty was packed away, the party reassembled in Eastertown for a delicious lunch in the sunshine, surrounded by fish.
